Vali - Breakfast Tray
Vali - Breakfast Tray
The elegant tray is carved from a solid piece of London Plane from a tree felled in Cardington St, London. Perfect for a weekend breakfast, a larger version is available for high days, holidays and honeymoons. Custom-made brass handles ensure your food and drinks are safely delivered, and help transform this beautifully functional object into a precious heirloom.
Story
Vali is inspired by the eponymous Norse god born to requite the loss of Baldur, god of joy, light and summer sun. Vali reaches adulthood in a single day and is one of few to survive the final earthly battle of gods and mortals.
In mature London Plane we sense the scars of a century of war, the delicate lacewood detail revealing a snapshot of multi-generational growth and the flourishing strength of a great city tree that survived everything from pollution to revolution.
